The current combination is based on proven combinations and was built this past winter to provide a consistent and economical racer. (2-gallons @ $5.50 per pass).Fresh (=NO passes) 439ci (427 bored .060)14:1 Full Roller, steel crank, comp ported heads, offenhauser tunnel w/ holley carb, 8500 RPM Mach Development Big Block Chevy (see their work @ machdevelopment.com). MSD ignition w/rev limit, delay box, new electric H2O pump, aluminum heat exchanger and electric fan (too many extra's to list here). New owner can step up the motor if desired. (Next step up in compression requires higher octane fuel or alcohol). Currently set up as wet block for faster cooling in the pits. Hughes shorty power glide w/Trans Brake, IHRA approved lockout shifter and complete air shift system, 5500 stall Continental Converter, 8-3/4 Chrysler rear w/4:30 Pro Gears, MW axles and spool (chrome housing), 12' chute, puke tank. Have chassis saver, 2-fuel tanks, 1 Meth, 1-Gas (installed), shift timer, (I ran manual shift but car has been set up to LAUNCH-HOLD ON-SHUT DOWN!!) New brake system. IHRA certificate current for 6 seconds and slower. 19" cage (I'm 6'0" 180# 21" shoulders and fit well), brake and throttle pedals adjustable to 6'3" driver. Should easily run low 8's w/ this setup. Easily runs the S/C index. Car is in fantastic condition, launches and runs straight, ready to go. It is a serious race car and should provide several years of trouble free and enjoyable racing.
